Pasta with Maltese Sausage

Serving: 2 portions

 

Ingredients:

    • ½ tsp Extra virgin olive oil
    • ½ onion
    • 100g Mushrooms
    • 1 Maltese sausage
    • 25ml White wine
    • ½ tub double cream
    • Salt and pepper
    • 200g Paccheri [ or any other pasta type of your choice]
    • 10g Grated Pecorino Romano [sheep’s cheese]

Method/Preparation:

    1. Start by cutting the onion and mushrooms finely. Remove the casing from the Maltese sausage and crumble it.
    2. Turn on the heat for the pan, pour in some oil and toss in the onion. Once it starts cooking, add the mushrooms and the crumbled Maltese sausage, season with salt and pepper and let it cook on medium heat.
    3. Pour the white wine of your choice and mix everything together. Leave the mixture to evaporate, then add the cream and continue cooking until you have a creamy sauce.
    4. Finally, mix in some pecorino cheese or any other cheese of your choice and serve.
