400g pasta 100 g chopped onion 50 ml olive oil 300g maltese sausage Glass of white wine 150 ml fresh cream Fresh chopped parsley ½ tsp chili flakes 300g Mazzit 4 tablespoons sliced almonds toasted Seasoning (salt & pepper)
Prepare a pot with salt for boiling the pasta In a hot pan fry the onion in olive oil until gold in colour Add the filling of the sausage and break into mince and fry until cooked. Add the wine and reduce by half Add the cream and bring to the boil
In the mean time cook the pasta according to package instructions, always allow a minute less of cooking time to continue cooking in the sauce While the pasta cooks continue the sauce
Add the freshly chopped parsley and chili flakes. When the pasta is cooked to your liking add it to the sauce and stir to allow the pasta to absorb the sauce for the rest of the minute, correct seasoning. Lastly crumble the Mazzit filling and stir the pasta, Serve on 4 four plates sprinkled with toasted sliced almonds
